Definition
春分 is the fourth of the 24 solar terms (节气) in the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar, marking the spring equinox around March 20–21. On this day day and night are roughly equal in length, and in Chinese culture it signals the midpoint of spring. It's used both as a calendar reference (春分到了 'spring equinox has arrived') and in weather-related expressions.
