日照 literally means 'sunshine' or 'sunlight' (日 sun, 照 to shine). It is also the name of a city in Shandong province (Rizhao), known for its port and abundant sunshine. The dictionary may incorrectly list 'umbrella' — 日照 does not mean umbrella in any standard usage.
