Definition
无烟 is an attributive adjective (属性词) meaning 'smoke-free' or 'smokeless'. It has two common uses: (1) describing a place or policy where smoking is prohibited (无烟区, 无烟餐厅), and (2) describing something that produces little or no smoke when burned or used (无烟煤, 无烟锅). It always modifies a noun and never stands alone as a predicate.
