Definition
整洁 (zhěng jié) describes something that is both tidy and clean — it emphasizes overall neatness and order, often for places, appearance, or handwriting. Compared to 干净 (gān jìng 'clean, no dirt') and 整齐 (zhěng qí 'orderly arranged'), 整洁 combines both aspects: it's clean and well-ordered. It is less formal than 洁净 (jié jìng 'pristine') and more static than 利索 (lì suo 'neat and efficient').
