Definition
收支 (shōu zhī) means 'income and expenditure' as a combined concept — it always refers to the balance or flow of both together, not just one side. Unlike 出入 (chū rù), which can also mean 'income and expenditure' but more often means 'coming and going' or 'discrepancy', 收支 is exclusively financial. 开支 (kāi zhī) refers only to expenditure, not income.
