Definition
撒娇 means to act in a cutesy, petulant, or coquettish way to get what you want — typically by whining, pouting, or using affectionate gestures. It's often done by children toward parents or by romantic partners toward each other. As a separable verb (离合词), the object 娇 can split off: 撒了一个娇 ('did a bout of acting spoiled'), 撒起娇来 ('start acting spoiled'). You don't put a direct object after 撒娇; instead, you can say 跟妈妈撒娇 ('act spoiled toward mom').
