Definition
提名 (tí míng) means to nominate someone for a position or award. It is more formal and specific than 推 (tuī), which can also mean 'to nominate' but is broader and more colloquial. Unlike 推选 (tuī xuǎn), which implies a voting or selection process, 提名 is simply the act of proposing a candidate.
