招魂 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to summon the spirit of the dead' — a traditional ritual. You can split it when adding aspect markers or duration: 招了魂 ('summoned the spirit'), 招过几次魂 ('summoned the spirit a few times'), 招完魂 ('finished summoning'). The 魂 can also be modified: 招他的魂 ('summon his spirit').
