Definition
拍片子 is a separable verb (离合词) made up of 拍 (to take/shoot) and 片子 (film/X-ray image). It has two common meanings: in a medical context, 'to take an X-ray (or other imaging scan)'; in the film/TV industry, 'to shoot a movie or TV show'.
