Definition
拉扯 is a colloquial verb with several related senses. Its core meaning is to pull or drag with force. By extension, it can mean to raise or bring up a child (often with sacrifice), and also to implicate or drag someone into a negative situation. In northern dialects it can also mean to chat casually. The word is most common in informal speech.
