投入 (tóu rù) has two main meanings: as a verb it means 'to invest' (time, effort, money) — broader than the purely financial 投资 (tóu zī). As an adjective it means 'absorbed, engrossed' in an activity, similar to 只顾 (zhǐ gù) but without the negative sense of neglecting other matters.
