Definition
找茬 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to nitpick' or 'to pick a quarrel' — deliberately finding fault with someone or something. It can also refer to the game 'spot the difference' (找茬游戏). The verb can split: 找 + measure word/object + 茬, e.g. 找什么茬 ('what are you nitpicking about?'). The object of the fault-finding is introduced with 跟 or 对: 跟我找茬 ('pick on me').
