Definition
打车 (dǎ chē) means 'to take a taxi' — you are the passenger hailing a ride. This is different from 开车 (kāi chē), which means 'to drive a car' (you are the driver). Note that 打车 can be split, e.g. 打了一个车 'called a taxi'.
