Definition
打乱 is a verb-resultative compound (V + 乱 'chaos') meaning 'to throw into disorder' or 'to disrupt.' The 乱 component describes the result state. It is often used with 计划, 节奏, 步骤, etc. Unlike separable verbs, 打乱 does not split with measure words, but the potential complement form is 打得乱 / 打不乱.
