Definition
戳 (chuō) has two common uses: to poke/jab with a pointed object, and to stamp/seal a document. As a verb it is more everyday and less aggressive than 刺 (cì 'pierce, stab') and lacks the connotation of exposing secrets that 捅 (tǒng) can carry. As a noun it means 'stamp, seal' in colloquial contexts, while 印 (yìn) and 印章 (yìn zhāng) are more formal or written terms.
