Definition
感叹 means 'to sigh with emotion' — it expresses admiration, regret, or deep feeling, often in response to something impressive or poignant. Unlike 叹气 (just a physical sigh), 感叹 carries a strong emotional reaction. It is more reflective than 惊叹 (sudden exclamation of wonder) and very close to 感慨, though 感慨 leans more toward reflective melancholy.
