感人 (gǎn rén) is an adjective that describes a story, movie, or situation as emotionally touching. It describes the thing that causes the feeling, unlike 感动 (gǎn dòng), which describes a person's moved emotional state (e.g., 我很感动). 动人 (dòng rén) is similar but slightly more formal and literary, often used for beauty or music.
