Definition
惊叹 (jīng tàn) means to exclaim or gasp in admiration, with a strong element of surprise — you use it when something amazes you so suddenly that you can't help reacting. It differs from 赞叹 (zàn tàn) which centers on giving praise; and from 感叹 (gǎn tàn) which is a reflective sigh of emotion, often mixed with regret.
