Definition
恍 is a bound form (b.f.) that cannot stand alone. It appears in two common compounds: 恍惚 (huǎnghū, 'dazed, absent-minded') and 恍然大悟 (huǎngrán dàwù, 'suddenly realize'). The dictionary gloss 'suddenly' captures only part of the second compound's meaning; the character itself does not mean 'suddenly' on its own.
