Definition
念叨 is a colloquial verb that covers three related but distinct everyday situations: talking about someone repeatedly because you miss or care about them (often used by older people about younger people), muttering complaints or reminders (nagging), and (in northern dialects) discussing or talking things over. The tone is informal and warm or mildly impatient depending on context.
