Definition
志气 (zhì qì) combines ambition with moral backbone — it's the drive to achieve something great while maintaining one's principles, often in the face of hardship. It differs from 志向 (zhì xiàng), which focuses purely on a goal or ambition, and from 骨气 (gǔ qì), which emphasizes unyielding integrity over achievement. 志气 is about both the aspiration and the character to pursue it.
