心路 combines 心 (heart/mind) and 路 (road/path) to mean a person's mental or psychological state. It has two main senses: (1) one's intention or motive, often with a connotation of scheming or cunning (心计); (2) one's train of thought, way of thinking, or inner mental process (思路). A less common sense is 'tolerance' (心胸). In contemporary usage, 心路 often appears in the phrase 心路历程 (xīn lù lì chéng), meaning one's emotional or mental journey.
