Definition
心切 describes a state of being very eager or impatient, often to the point of being overly hasty. It is used as a predicate to express that someone's heart is set on something, especially in common phrases like 归心似箭 (to be eager to return home) or 求胜心切 (too eager to win). Unlike 着急 (anxious/worried), 心切 focuses on the intense desire to quickly achieve a goal.
