徙 (xǐ) is a literary bound form that appears in compounds like 迁徙 (qiānxǐ, to migrate) and 徙居 (xǐjū, to move one's residence). In classical Chinese it can also function as a verb meaning 'to move residence' or 'to be transferred to a different official post'.
