Definition
很 (hěn) is the most common, neutral way to say 'very' in Chinese. It's less intense than 非常 (fēicháng) and more neutral than the colloquial 挺 (tǐng), which is softer. 很 often serves simply to connect an adjective to the subject, without strong emphasis.
