Definition
开支 (kāizhī) refers to formal, organizational expenditures, like in budgets or finance reports. It is more formal and specific than 开销 (kāixiāo, everyday spending), and narrower than 费用 (fèiyòng, a general cost/fee). In accounting, countable expense items take 开支 with 笔 or 项.
