Definition
廉价 (liánjià) is a formal, written word for 'low-cost' or 'inexpensive' (e.g. 廉价航空). It contrasts with everyday 便宜 (piányi) and with 实惠 (shíhuì, 'good value for money'). 贱 (jiàn) has a pejorative sense of 'cheap' (despicable), while 平价 (píngjià) means 'reasonably priced' (often economic policy).
