Definition
底 (dǐ) means 'bottom' of a physical object (sea, container, shoe) or 'end' of a time period (month, year). Unlike 底层 (dǐ céng), which focuses on the lowest physical layer (building floor) or social position, 底 is the general word for the bottom/base of things.
