应付 (yìng fu) means 'to cope with, deal with, handle' — often with a nuance of managing something minimally or just enough to get by, rather than thoroughly solving it. It is more casual than 应对 (yìng duì, formal/strategic response) and less confrontational than 面对 (miàn duì, 'face' a challenge).
