干事 (gàn shi) refers to an administrator or executive secretary who handles daily affairs in an organization, company, or institution. It is more task-focused and lower in rank than 干部 (gàn bù, a leading cadre or official), and is less political than 官员 (guān yuán, a government official). 管家 (guǎn jiā, butler/steward) belongs to a different context—private homes or hospitality.
