Definition
巴望 is an informal, emotionally strong verb meaning 'to eagerly hope for' or 'to look forward to something impatiently'. It carries a sense of urgency and desire, stronger than 希望 or 期待. You often use it when the thing you're waiting for hasn't happened yet and you can't wait. It is a bit dialectal and more common in spoken Chinese, especially in northern China.
