Definition
崎 is a bound form (不能单独使用) that only appears in compound words, most commonly in 崎岖 (qíqū, 'rugged, rough of terrain'). It can also appear in literary compounds like 崎路 (qílù, 'rough road'), but 崎岖 is by far the most frequent. When you see 崎, it almost always signals uneven or difficult topography.
