Definition
崇高 (chóng gāo) describes something sublime, majestic, or lofty, often in a spiritual or ideal sense (e.g., noble ideals, sublime spirit). It differs from 高尚 (gāo shàng), which focuses on moral nobility, and from 雄伟 (xióng wěi), which describes physical grandeur of buildings or landscapes. 崇高 is more abstract and elevated in tone.
