Definition
尚无 is a formal, literary equivalent of 还没有 'not yet'. You'll encounter it in news reports, official statements, and written Chinese rather than everyday conversation. It functions as a predicate or adverbial phrase, often at the start of a clause or after a subject. Unlike 还没有, 尚无 cannot be followed by 呢 or used with 了.
