Definition
尊敬 means to respect someone you look up to (elders, teachers, heroes) — it carries a sense of reverence. It's different from 尊重 (zūn zhòng, HSK4), which is broader: respecting someone's rights, opinions, or feelings. 尊敬 is also used as an adjective before titles in formal settings (e.g., 尊敬的代表 'distinguished representatives').
