Definition
寻 (xún) is a formal, literary verb meaning 'to search for' or 'to seek', often used in fixed expressions (寻人启事, 寻购) and written Chinese. It is more concise and classical than the everyday 寻找 (xún zhǎo), and less specific to physical rummaging than 搜 (sōu).
