Definition
密集 describes things packed closely together in space (dense population, buildings) or activities that are intense and concentrated (intensive training). It differs from 稠密 (chóu mì), which is more formal and only used for physical density (e.g., population, forest), not for activities. 集中 (jí zhōng) means to bring together or focus, while 密集 emphasizes the resulting crowded or packed state.
