Definition
客座教授 is a university title for a scholar invited to teach at an institution for a limited period — typically a semester or year. It differs from 访问教授 (visiting professor), which is often for research without regular teaching duties, and 兼职教授 (adjunct professor), which refers to a part-time appointment while holding a job elsewhere. The term is used on business cards and in academic introductions.
