Definition
定价 (dìng jià) is both a verb meaning 'to set a price' and a noun meaning 'pricing' (the act or the set price). Unlike 价格, 价钱, 售价, or 价位, which all refer to the price amount itself, 定价 focuses on the process or decision of setting that amount. As a verb, it is distinct from 降价 (to lower the price).
