Definition
完 (wán) means 'to finish' or 'to be over' and is often used as a result complement after another verb (e.g., 做完, 吃完). It is more common in everyday speech than 结束 (jiéshù, to end an event) or 完成 (wánchéng, to complete a task). 完毕 (wánbì) is a formal, written word for 'finished' (e.g., in announcements).
