Definition
完事 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to finish' or 'to get something done'. The 完 and 事 can split when adding aspect markers, complements, or objects: for example, 完不了事 (cannot finish), 完什么事 (what to finish), or 完了事 (finished). You generally use it when a task, project, or activity is completed.
