Definition
存档 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to file' or 'to save (a file)'. The two characters 存 (store) and 档 (file) can split when you add aspect markers like 了 or 过, or measure words like 一次, between them: 存了档 ('filed'), 存过一次档 ('have filed once'). You cannot put an object after 存档 directly — the file being saved is already implied in the object 档.
