婆家 refers to the family of a married woman's husband — her in-laws on her husband's side. It is the female counterpart of 娘家 (niángjia, her own birth family). In traditional Chinese culture, a woman is said to 'marry into' her 婆家, and the term carries expectations of loyalty, duty, and filial piety toward her husband's parents.
