Definition
妥 (tuǒ) has two related senses: 'appropriate, suitable' and 'settled, well-handled'. It is often used as a complement (办妥 'handle properly') or in the negative 不妥 'inappropriate'. Compared to 妥当/妥善 (more formal, 'proper, well-arranged') and 恰当 (focused on exact fit), 妥 is more concise and common for things being 'in order'.
