Definition
如故 is a verb phrase meaning 'as before' or 'like an old friend'. It often appears in fixed expressions: 依然如故 ('still the same as before') and 一见如故 ('to hit it off at first sight, to become friends immediately'). Use it predicatively to describe that something remains unchanged or that a relationship feels instantly familiar.
