Definition
太和 (Tài hé) is a classical philosophical term from Daoist and Confucian cosmology, referring to the 'grand harmony' or 'supreme harmony' — the ideal state in which yin and yang energies are perfectly balanced and all opposites coexist in unity. You will encounter it in classical texts (e.g. the Yijing) and in architectural names like the Taihe Hall (太和殿) in the Forbidden City. It is a high-register, literary noun; modern conversational use is rare.
