Definition
天地 (tiān dì) literally 'heaven and earth' — a poetic, literary term for the world as the natural universe or vast scope. It differs from the everyday 世界 (shìjiè) and the political/historical 天下 (tiānxià), and from 世间 (shìjiān) which refers to the mortal realm. It can also mean 'scope, field of activity' (e.g., 广阔的天地).
