Definition
大逆不道 is a four-character idiom describing acts of extreme rebellion, betrayal, or moral transgression — historically used for treason against the emperor or heresy against core Confucian values, and now extended to any behavior that fundamentally violates accepted norms or authority. It carries a very strong negative judgment, similar to 'heinous crime' or 'outrageous offense' in English.
