Definition
大模大样 is a four-character set phrase (成语) meaning to behave with deliberate casualness or arrogance — literally 'big manner, big appearance.' You can use it for someone who acts unhurriedly and confidently, often to show off or to make others feel small. In Taiwan it is pronounced dà mó dà yàng, but the Standard Mandarin reading is dàmú dàyàng. Note that the pinyin for the second character is mú (with rising tone), not mó.
