Definition
大字报 (dà zì bào) refers to large-character posters that were a prominent form of public expression during the Cultural Revolution (1966–1976) in China. They were handwritten on large sheets of paper and pasted on walls, used for political criticism, propaganda, or personal attacks. The term carries strong historical and political connotations; today it is rarely used except in historical contexts or metaphorically to describe public denunciations.
